SURABHIKA AND SUR SIDDHI : The success of Sangit Kala Mandir was absolutely unprecedented. Applicants for memberships had to be put on waiting lists. With this fact as a driving force, Mr B K Birla suggested the formation of a sister organization to take care of this growing membership list. That was the beginning of Surabhika in 1972.

Almost two and a half decades later, Sur Siddhi was founded for the same purpose in 1996. Both the organizations now have applicants on waiting lists. The growth of Sangit Kala Mandir is a continuous process and both sister organizations contribute to this growth significantly by organizing around 70 programmes every year. It would be fair to say that both have matured on their own under the guidance of Sangit Kala Mandir, the umbrella institution.
